CNC Machining

Jewett Machine provides full service precision CNC machining capabilities including horizontal CNC milling, vertical milling, 2 axis turning, 4 axis turning, vertical CNC turning, Swiss screw machining, and cylindrical grinding. Jewett specializes in close tolerance CNC machine work in a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics and composite materials. Cast iron and aluminum castings are a specialty in low to medium volumes as well as production quantities.

Jewett offers full production machining and prototype assistance. Precision machined parts are available in most metals, alloys and plastics.

CNC cylindrical grinding is a specialty at Jewett Machine. With capability to grind 14” in diameter and a meter long Jewett grinds super precision parts in high and low volume. Typical parts include precision shafts, rollers, and hubs. A variety of materials including hardened steels, tool steels, carbide tools and urethane parts are ground to precision tolerances. Centerless and surface grinding services are available for most metals.

Jewett Machine has one of the most capable CNC milling facilities in its service area which includes Virginia (VA), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), and Maryland (MD). Jewett is capable of machining parts up to 80” long to precision tolerances on its vertical machining centers. Horizontal CNC milling can be done on parts a large as a 40” cube. Four axis CNC milling is a specialty. Jewett has extensive experience machining iron castings, aluminum castings, and bronze castings to exacting tolerances. A wide variety of custom milled parts including, aerospace, medical, automotive, and OEM are machined in both high and low volumes.
